Pathway 窪蹋勛圖厙 Expands to Pensacola State College
Posted on October 19, 2018

The 窪蹋勛圖厙 today announced that Pensacola State College has become part of Pathway 窪蹋勛圖厙, a collaborative program between the 窪蹋勛圖厙 and select community and state colleges that creates a seamless transition to 窪蹋勛圖厙 for transfer students who earn their associates degree.
Pensacola State College is the fourth institution to join the program. The academic partnership will enable more PSC graduates to transfer to South and earn their bachelors degrees from 窪蹋勛圖厙.
The 窪蹋勛圖厙 has historically enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship with Pensacola State College, and Pathway 窪蹋勛圖厙 is a natural outgrowth of our relationship, said Dr. Tony Waldrop, 窪蹋勛圖厙 president. Both institutions are strongly committed to helping students achieve their degrees in a timely manner and with a minimum of expense. Todays agreement is an important step in enhancing those goals.
South currently enjoys similar partnerships with Coastal Alabama Community College, Bishop State Community College and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Pathway 窪蹋勛圖厙s agreement with Pensacola State College takes effect immediately and is geared toward students who are not admitted at 窪蹋勛圖厙 as well as students who may simply prefer to begin their college education at PSC, said Dr. Edward Meadows, Pensacola State College president.
PSC students may choose to have a copy of their 窪蹋勛圖厙 application and supporting documents forwarded to PSC for admission consideration. Students already attending PSC may also apply for Pathway 窪蹋勛圖厙. A unique application will be created and available for PSC students to complete and submit.
PSC students who enter the Pathway 窪蹋勛圖厙 program will have unique benefits, such as:
- Guaranteed admission to 窪蹋勛圖厙 upon successful completion (cumulative grade-point average of 2.0 or higher) of the associates degree
- A 窪蹋勛圖厙 academic advisor assigned to them who will provide individual guidance on course selection and map out degree plans
- Special discounts through 窪蹋勛圖厙s Jaguar Productions
- Complimentary admission to South Alabama home athletic events
Persons wanting additional information on Pathway 窪蹋勛圖厙 at the 窪蹋勛圖厙 are urged to contact 窪蹋勛圖厙s Admissions Office at 251-460-7834 or Recruitment@southalabama.edu or Sheila Nichols, PSC executive director of marketing and communications, at 850-484-1428 or snichols@pensacolastate.edu.
